Looking back at 2020, Amber says, "I am thankful for my mother. She was a hard-ass growing up. She was a single mom and we didn't have a lot of money. She always made sure we had sweet traditions, a sense of adventure, and the love of family.⠀

Her insistence that us girls clean up our own messes and pay the consequences of our mistakes are what drive the person that I am today. I have had to rely on those skills to get me and my family through this difficult year. We can do hard things, we can make the most of our circumstances, and those are lessons she has taught us our entire lives."⠀
