Special Guest Interview with Alayna Brinton

Published May 11, 2021

Our theme this year at the SprySpace Podcast is Social Media For Good. Our theme for May is Mental Health Month.

This week, we were lucky enough to interview the wonderful Alayna Brinton. Alayna is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She’s founded two clinics. One is Anchor Point Counseling, and the second is a non-profit mental health walk in clinic called Blue Mountain Health Collective. Alayna sees the ever increasing need for mental health care, and is working to create environments that move people quickly into the services they need through the integrated care systems established at her non-profit.

Alayna sees social media and mental health are increasingly intertwined, “You’re looking at how you post and it’s making you uncomfortable and that’s where we have to look that straight in the eye and say what’s happening for me. Am I having fear of missing out? Am I experiencing intense isolation? Am I depressed? Am I anxious? Is that why I’m using my social media?” Hear the whole conversation with Alyana, Lacey, and Adrienne via podcast or YouTube!
